“Home should be a refuge for the family. And it makes me happy if I can, in any way, impart skills and share knowledge to help parents make the home a place where the whole family feels a sense of belonging to. Very often, the kitchen and dining room is the centre of activity where families can bond – and this is where I hope to make an impact.
To do so, I conduct cooking sessions with the SPIN members as part of Fresh Food Project where I empower them to create delicious and wholesome meals for their families. The experience of sharing food and life together with the single parents has been truly rewarding – helping me empathise and understand their struggles better in the process.”
