hcsa's precautions against 2019-ncov

To prevent against the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), HCSA has implemented the following measures for all residents, staff and visitors.

Residential and Community-Based Facilities

Residents

  • Grant 14-day LOA from date of return to Singapore from Mainland China
  • Residents with household member under Home Quarantine Order (HQO) will be granted leave from work
  • Residents who are unwell must see a doctor
  • Organised excursion, outings and events are suspended
  • Conduct minimally twice daily temperature screening
  • Residents are advised to observe good personal hygiene practices

Staff

  • Grant 14-day LOA from date of return to Singapore from Mainland China
  • Implemented twice daily temperature taking for all staff
  • Staff who are unwell are to visit a doctor promptly and stay at home as advised by doctor
  • Limit cross deployment of staff and meeting across multiple facilities and settings
  • Staff with household member under Home Quarantine Order (HQO) will be requested to stay at home
  • Staff are told repeatedly to observe good personal hygiene practices

Visitors

  • Only visitors who are needed to support running of facilities (eg contractors) and agencies who need to perform necessary functions may enter the premises.
  • Visitors are to sanitize hands, complete travel and health declaration, temperature screening.

Non-Residential/Community-Based Facilities

Visitors

  • Visitors are to sanitize hands, complete travel and health declaration, temperature screening.

Staff & Trainees

  • Grant 14-day LOA from date of return to Singapore from Mainland China
  • Implemented twice daily temperature taking for all staff
  • Staff who are unwell must visit a doctor promptly
  • Limit cross multiple facilities/department meetings
  • Staff are told repeatedly to observe good personal hygiene practices
