Andrew Ong is an ex-offender who has turned his life around by the grace of God. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Management from Edith Cowan University.  

He has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and business development in the public-private-people sectors. Prior to joining HCSA Community Services, Andrew was Head of Corporate Partnerships with Empact. 

Today, Andrew marries his corporate experience with his personal mission in championing the needs of ex-offenders and the vulnerable with HCSA Community Services. He is also co-founder of Break the Cycle, a ground-up initiative that uses cycling to break the cycle of recidivism.  

For his inspiring life transformation and service to the community, he was conferred with the Outstanding Adult of the Singapore Silent Heroes Award 2020, and “Beyond Second Chances (Overcomer)” Awards 2022 which is the apex award given to an ex-offender by Singapore Prison Service and Yellow Ribbon Singapore.
