ADELENE WEE
HEAD, HCSA SPIN
Adelene holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Theology from the University of Wales and a Bachelor of Theology from the Theology College of Asia.
With a career spanning diverse industries, Adelene brings a wealth of experience in elite sports, leadership, fundraising, stakeholder management and team building. Her journey began as Singapore’s First World Champion in Tenpin Bowling (1985), a historic achievement that earned her the title of Sportswoman of the Year and induction into both the Singapore Sports Hall of Fame (1986) and the Singapore Women’s Hall of Fame (2014). She later transitioned into entrepreneurship, ministry, and social services, where her passion for uplifting others has been a constant.
Adelene’s association with HCSA Community Services began in the late 1990s as a volunteer with Highpoint and she was also a Founding Member of Dayspring in 2007. Over the years, she has held various leadership roles at HCSA, including Director of Partnerships and Head of Academy. In her current role as Head of SPIN, Adelene has led the programme to achieve significant growth, serving more beneficiaries than ever, while fostering a culture of teamwork and camaraderie within her team.
Adelene’s commitment to service is deeply rooted in her faith and her belief in the power of relationships to transform lives. She hopes to continue using her expertise and passion to strengthen HCSA’s mission of empowering vulnerable communities and creating meaningful change, giving our service-users a future and a hope.
