Shawn holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from ACTS College and Master of Art in counselling from TCA College. 

Shawn’s calling to serve the ex-offender community is rooted in his personal conviction and faith in God. He has seen his own life turned around through God’s grace and redemptive hope, and his heartbeat is in seeing other lives transformed. 

Shawn’s lifelong passion is to support former offenders in rebuilding their lives and giving back to the community. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing shelters and halfway houses. 

Before joining HCSA Highpoint, Shawn started a men’s shelter for ex-offenders with a church and served as senior management in the church to manage both the shelter and a cafe providing employment to ex-offenders. 

Today, Shawn heads the dedicated HCSA Highpoint care team to support ex-offenders in their recovery journey before they are reconciled with their family.
