Podcast: Enabling a Culture of Giving on CNA938’s Our Town
We’re excited to share that Project V — a collaborative initiative launched in 2023 to connect corporates with social service agencies (SSAs) like HCSA Community Services for meaningful, long-term volunteering partnerships — was recently featured on CNA938’s Our Town podcast. 🎙️ Project V is all about creating meaningful, long-term volunteering partnerships, making it easier for companies to give back in a sustained, impactful way.
Hosted by Susan Ng, this episode titled “Enabling a Culture of Giving” features a heartfelt conversation with Tan Li San, CEO of National Council of Social Service (NCSS), Natalie Craig, CEO of Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) Singapore, and our very own Cheong Jun Jie, Senior Manager of Volunteer & Community Engagement at HCSA.
C&W Services Singapore volunteers work with single-parent families from our HCSA SPIN programme. Jun Jie shares more about what these sessions look like and the kind of support provided. From the corporate side of things, Natalie of C&W recounts a touching story of one of their volunteers, someone raised by a single parent himself, and how the experience helped him connect with others in similar situations and give back to a community close to his heart.
🤝 Together, they chat about what makes Project V different from other volunteering efforts — from empowering volunteers and building stronger ties between companies and SSAs, to nurturing a stronger sense of community across Singapore. They also shared insights on the importance of leadership buy-in, the value of consistency in volunteering, and what makes these SSA and corporate partnerships successful.
