HCSA Academy was recently featured on CNA938, where Sony HAQ joined Susan Ng to share the life-changing work taking place through the Academy and the impact it has on individuals rebuilding their lives.
While HCSA Academy equips trainees with professional culinary skills, its work extends far beyond the kitchen. Every participant is supported through a holistic ecosystem that includes their families, loved ones, counsellors, Reintegration Officers and employers, helping them navigate their reintegration journey with confidence and purpose.
This collaborative approach reflects one of HCSA’s key Theory of Change outcomes: Skills & Opportunities. By equipping vulnerable individuals with practical skills, meaningful opportunities and a strong support network, HCSA empowers them not only to secure employment, but also to rebuild confidence, restore dignity and embrace hope for the future.
As HCSA celebrates 30 years of giving a future and a hope, stories like these remind us that our journey has always been about people. Every life transformed, every family strengthened and every community uplifted is made possible through the dedication of colleagues who faithfully walk alongside those they serve each day.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share HCSA Academy’s story with a wider audience and thank the Academy team for their unwavering commitment to creating lasting change. Together, they continue to demonstrate what hope in action truly looks like.
