Kim Lang graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma in Education from the National University of Singapore and the National Institute of Education respectively. Kim Lang’s first profession was as an educator in a Singapore secondary school. She later obtained training in Family Life Education and pursued a Master of Divinity. After leaving education, Kim Lang served as a Pastor in a local church for many years.

After joining the social service sector where she led the women and children’s pillar under HCSA-Dayspring for almost ten years, Kim Lang equipped herself with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Social Work, and was accredited as a Registered Social Worker. Under her leadership, Dayspring Residential Treatment Centre (DRTC) became recognised by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). DRTC is the first and only therapeutic group home for girls in Singapore, serving teenage girls who have experienced complex trauma.

Kim Lang was a recipient of various leadership schemes offered by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) in 2011, and National Council of Social Service (NCSS) in 2019.

Kim Lang currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of HCSA Community Services.
