HCSA Dayspring Officially Opens as Singapore’s Only Co-Located Therapeutic Group Home and Small Group Care Home for Teenage Girls

HCSA Community Services today celebrated a significant milestone in its expansion of services with the official opening of HCSA Dayspring, a residential treatment centre that co-locates Singapore’s only Therapeutic Group Home (TGH) for girls up to 18 years old and the nation’s only Small Group Care (SGC) Home for girls above 12, with the capacity to serve up to 27 teenage girls at a time.

In celebration of the World Hepatitis Day (28 July), HCSA Community Services and NHG Health’s Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reinforce their shared commitment to eliminating Hepatitis C (HCV) among former drug offenders in Singapore, aligning with the World Health Organization’s global strategy of eliminating Hepatitis C.

With compassion, grit, and an unshakable belief in second chances, Sheev helps residents secure employment, housing, and emotional support — laying the groundwork for lasting reintegration. Her journey, shaped by empathy and conviction, reflects her belief that no one is beyond hope, and change is always possible with the right support.

Kama’s Journey: The Journey to Self-Forgiveness 

Kama first experimented with drugs in his teenage years. Adulthood, with all its uncertainty and difficulties, came along, and his drug use escalated, leading to his incarceration. After spending time in prison and then HCSA Highpoint, he’s turned his life around through counselling, community support, and rebuilding his relationship with his family. Today, with support from his loved ones, he’s learning to forgive himself and love himself.
