Kama first experimented with drugs in his teenage years. Adulthood, with all its uncertainty and difficulties, came along, and his drug use escalated, leading to his incarceration. After spending time in prison and then HCSA Highpoint, he’s turned his life around through counselling, community support, and rebuilding his relationship with his family….
HCSA Highpoint (Rebuilding Ex-Offenders’ Lives)
With $50, you will help provide a newly released ex-offender with a care pack of essential toiletries — so they can step out with dignity and begin their reintegration journey.
With $100, you will bless an ex-offender and their families with a prosocial event or activity that includes a meal — promoting community engagement in support of their reintegration into our society.
With $200, you will provide allowance for public transport for an ex-offender — supporting their initial steps into normalcy of everyday life.
With $500, you will support a class of our residents with meal allowance during their 6 days of digital training — encouraging them so they enjoy learning.
With $1,000, you will help furnish a rental flat with essential electrical appliances (e.g., oven, fan) including vouchers — enabling an ex-offender to settle into independent living upon completion of their residential programme – easing their financial pressure to focus on rebuilding their new lives.
Shirlene’s childhood was shaped by instability and loss—experiences that left her carrying deep wounds into her teenage years. Over time, a consistent circle of care at HCSA Dayspring helped her rebuild trust, find safety again, and grow into an OWENA leader who now walks alongside other young women on their own paths of healing….
HCSA Dayspring (Journeying with Trauma Survivors)
With $50, you will provide a trauma survivor with a pair of sports shoes — supporting their wellbeing through movement and healthy routines.
With $100, you will provide a trauma survivor with a basic pair of spectacles — helping them see clearly for school, work, and daily life.
With $200, you will make it possible for a trauma survivor to join a holiday enrichment programme — creating space for healing, growth, and renewed hope.
With $500, you will help cover one month’s rent for a trauma survivor working towards independent living — providing stability during a critical season of transition.
With $1,000, you will provide a young trauma survivor in tertiary education with a basic laptop — equipping them to learn, complete assignments, and pursue a better future.
Lai Peng found her voice to grief after the passing of her husband with counselling from the HCSA SPIN Care Team, and the strength to help her young neurodivergent son with his own grief as well. Together, mother and son have grown closer in their shared delayed grief and healing. With $50, you will provide a single-parent family of three with a care pack of essential toiletries — easing daily burdens and meeting practical needs.
With $100, you will give a single-parent family a day of parent-child bonding activities — strengthening relationships and creating meaningful memories.
With $200, you will provide a single-parent household of three with a basic essential groceries care pack for a month — helping them stretch every dollar further.
With $500, you will support the emotional wellbeing of single-parent families through counselling intervention and childminding support — so parents can get help while children are cared for.
With $1,000, you will provide a single-parent household with essential groceries for three months — bringing relief, stability, and breathing room.

HCSA Academy (Preparing Workplace-Ready Professionals)
With $50, you will help provide a student-at-risk with textbooks, recipes, and learning resources — supporting their journey to stay in training and keep going.
With $100, you will provide a graduate entering their first job as a professional chef with a pair of safety shoes — so they can start work safely and confidently.
With $200, you will equip a student-at-risk with a set of mandatory culinary training gear and uniform — removing a practical barrier to completing their course.
With $500, you will help fund an enrichment and upskilling programme for alumni from vulnerable backgrounds — supporting continued growth beyond graduation.
With $1,000, you will partially support the course fees for one student from a low-income background — making a pathway to stable employment more accessible.
