On 6 June, 21 volunteers from Hongkong Land spent the day at HCSA Dayspring, paired with 19 of our Dayspring residents for a vibrant mix of hands-on activities and connection.
The main activity? Painting a wall mural along the admin block, guided by a mural artist. The goal was to complete the base layer, with a mural artist returning to add the final touches after the paint dries. As the wall could only accommodate half the group at a time, the sessions were split in two batches. While one group painted, the other played pickleball outdoors or made beaded accessories indoors.
🍔 Everyone, both volunteers and Dayspring residents, gathered for lunch and shared conversation across the table. The Dayspring girls were also treated to snacks and sweet treats sponsored by Hongkong Land, rounding off the experience on a joyful note.
To round off the day, volunteers heard more about the broader work of HCSA Community Services, and then about Dayspring’s impact in supporting young girls on their journey to healing.
Thank you, Hongkong Land (@hongkong.land) , for bringing your energy, warmth and colour to our community. 💫
